Nate + Shelby's Intimate Wedding at Venue 1929
Love was in the air on a beautiful mid-September day in Springfield, Illinois, as Nate and Shelby Domm celebrated their love story at the enchanting Venue 1929. This charming venue, with its exposed brick, exquisite woodwork, and cascading flowers hanging from the chandeliers, provided the perfect backdrop for a day filled with warmth, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
Shelby's Custom Bridal Look
To start, Shelby began the day wearing these Betsey Johnson heels, complete with blue bottoms to complete the bridal look. Her hair and makeup looks were created by Kelsi and Candace at Meraki Salon in Springfield. Her dress is from Gown's Bridal Boutique, also located in Springfield. After dawning her heels, Shelby changed into custom Tom's that she crafted herself, gluing each stone on individually.
Shelby, an ardent lover of all things natural and rustic, transformed the space into a woodland wonderland with her exquisite taste and impeccable eye for detail. Her choice of moss, acorns, and wildflowers as natural decor elements worked seamlessly with the venue's aesthetic, creating an atmosphere that felt both enchanting and intimate. Most of the days elements were made by Shelby.
The guest list included about 100 of the couple's closest friends and family, making this wedding a heartwarming and intimate affair that focused on the connection between Nate and Shelby. Throughout the day, Nate and Shelby's smiles were infectious, filling the venue with love and joy. It was clear that their happiness was genuine and that they were meant to be together.
Once the ceremony was complete, guests enjoyed a cocktail hour, followed by dinner and dancing. Among the guests were Nate & Shelby's nieces and nephews who helped kick-off the evening's dancing.
After heartfelt speeches from the bride's mother, Mary, Nate's sister, Erin, and Shelby's bridesmaids and lifelong friends. Nate + Shelby ended the night with dancing, bouquet and garter tosses, and a dollar dance with guests.
Not only is Shelby a beautiful bride, she is a kind friend. She has found her true match in Nate and I am so happy that I got to be a part of their day. I wish them the best in the many years to come!
